There may be times or situations in our lives that are more difficult than others. The capacity to stay physically fit and welll during those times is what we call ‘resilience’.Resilience is not simply a person’s ability to ‘bounce back’, but their capacity to adapt in the face of challenging circumstances, whilst maintaining a stable physical wellbeing. Being physically resilient aids mental resilience and visa versa.
We believe resilience is something that can change over time and that we, as individuals, have the power to change it. We believe that resilience can be taught, and learned, and that the elements that build resilience can be introduced into everyday life.
The LiveWELL wellbeing challenge covers the 4 essential elements of a healthy life and aims to build resilience. It’s all about moving more, eating well, sleeping well and staying hydrated.
Each resilience area is tracked and a WELL Score created as a reflection of the total of all of the healthy habits a user has entered into the WELL121 App over the prior 30-days.
Both synced data from other apps, and data manually input on the Log are included. The score looks at a 30-day window because research suggests that it takes around 30 consecutive days of repeating new behaviors consistently in order to form a new habit.
