The step challenge is about moving more each day to benefit physical and mental wellbeing.
Regular physical activity is associated with lower rates of depression and anxiety across all age groups. Exercise is essential for slowing age-related cognitive decline and for promoting well-being.
But it doesn’t need to be particularly intense for you to feel good – slower-paced activities, such as walking, can have the benefit of encouraging social interactions as well providing some level of exercise.
The challenge simply uses our WELL 121 App to track activity manually or through connecting with fitness apps/wearables. The leader board will reflect the number of steps recorded and is refreshed every 24 hours.
We will offer participant the option to track activity minutes and mood on a daily basis as part of the challenge.
